Happy 2024! Having served on the Pool, Parks and Recreation board since June of 2023, I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to serve the North Fork community and help guide the future of our recreation district. I aim to make sure the work done by board members in the past isn’t forgotten and our work now will continue to build on their legacy as we look to the future.
I am excited to be on a productive, creative and positive board where the goal is to provide, maintain and grow the parks and recreation infrastructure in the North Fork Valley. It is with this infrastructure that we help to promote a healthy lifestyle and open up exercise opportunities for people of all ages and abilities in the North Fork Valley.
As many families do, my family benefits from the recreational amenities the Valley has to offer. Asides from being avid campers, we are bicyclists, swimmers, occasional tennis players and users of all the parks. After relocating here in 2015 to be closer to family, it was quickly apparent that the North Fork Valley has everything we need and more. There are amazing outdoor opportunities, friendly people, delicious produce, local meat, arts and crafts festivals, a vibrant musical scene and amazing parks and recreation facilities. We couldn’t have picked a better place to call home.
As I strive to support the parks and recreation interests of the surrounding community I want to say thank you to all of our supporters, users and volunteers. Here’s to a fun, active and healthy 2024!
